Nature and use
Basic copper carbonate (CuCO3. Cu(OH)2) is a peacock green fine amorphous powder. The density is 3.85, the melting point is 200 degrees of decomposition, insoluble in cold water and alcohol, soluble in acid and the formation of the corresponding copper salt, soluble in cyanide, sodium hydroxide, ammonium salt and alkali carbonate aqueous solution and the formation of copper complexes. When boiled in an alkali metal carbonate solution, brown copper oxide is generated and decomposed into black copper oxide at 2000C. Unstable in hydrogen sulfide atmosphere. first aid measures
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with running water.
